X-Press Legal Services has announced its sponsorship of the Thatto Heath Crusaders U15 player Lucy Sorby. The sponsorship of Lucy’s kit is part of the firm’s commitment to championing girls’ participation in rugby from the ground up.
Thatto Heath Crusaders, based in St Helens, has long been champions of inclusivity in sport. Its thriving girls’ section continues to give young players the chance to build confidence, resilience and teamwork through rugby league.
The team trains twice a week in St. Helens as well as competing in the Yorkshire Premier League. Such is its success that players including Lucy Sorby have recently been offered a pathway to performance contract with Wigan Warriors Women.
As a family-run business with a strong community ethos, X-Press Legal Services is committed to supporting initiatives that make a real difference, especially in areas where young women are still underrepresented.
Lynne Lister, Managing Director of X-Press Legal Services, commented: “We’re delighted to sponsor Lucy’s Thatto Heath Crusaders kit. At X-Press Legal Services, we’re passionate about giving back to the communities we serve. Grassroots sport plays a vital role in developing confidence, teamwork and resilience in young people skills that are not only essential on the pitch but also highly valuable as they progress into the workplace.
“It’s especially important to support initiatives where girls are underrepresented and rugby is one of those areas. We hope our support helps the team to thrive both on and off the pitch.”
